A trial is an administrative proceeding conducted by the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB) for the purpose of resolving decisions made by examiners in connection with patent/utility model/design/trademark applications or disputes concerning invalidity and confirmation of the scope of patent/utility model/design/trademark rights.
