A party, such as a petitioner or defendant, may file a petition for appeal against a trial decision rendered by the IPTAB with the Patent Court, which is the level of the high court located in Daejeon, within 30 days from the date on which a certified copy of the relevant decision is served. A ruling rendered by the Patent Court may be appealed to the Supreme Court within 14 days from the date on which a certified copy of the relevant trial ruling or decision is served, if there are grounds for violating certain laws and regulations.
